About The Daily Purge

Welcome. This space is exactly what it says on the tin: a digital release valve.

I am a bloke in my late 30s living in the UK. I am married, hopelessly outnumbered by my wife and two teenage daughters, and I live with a disability. My day-to-day life is a constant juggling act of managing a chaotic household, navigating a world that wasn't exactly built with me in mind, and dealing with a brain that refuses to switch off.

I am also a recovering perfectionist.

For years, I’ve let thoughts, rants, observations, and random tech rabbit holes rattle around my head because I didn't have the time or energy to turn them into "perfect" prose. This blog is the antidote to that paralysis.

The Rules of Engagement

To keep myself honest and ensure this remains a therapeutic brain dump rather than a chore, I operate under a few strict rules:

1 No Overthinking: What you read here is essentially a first draft. It might have typos. The grammar might be questionable.

2 Total Freedom: One day I might write about the absolute friction of navigating the social model of disability. The next, it might be a cynical rant about teenage logic, or a deep dive into self-hosted software. It’s all fair game.

3 Written and Forgotten: Once I hit that blue publish button, I move on. I’m not curating an image; I’m clearing my head.

Why Anonymous?

Because life is loud enough without worrying about who is reading over your shoulder. Anonymity gives me the freedom to be entirely unvarnished, and it gives you a look at a completely unfiltered perspective on modern life, parenting, and everything else in between.

Thanks for dropping by. Don't expect polish, just expect the truth as it lands on the screen.
